Office chairs

Office chairs either for doing your office work at home or in the office itself or for studying for long hours must be highly comfortable and should not cause back pain. It is essential that the office chair you purchase does not affect your concentration adversely and has no detrimental effect on your health.

There are many options that you encounter when looking for a Study chair. Consider the following factors to ensure that you land a good quality study/office chair.

Adjustable Height
When you are sitting on your office chair, your thighs should be horizontal to the floor. If the chair height is more than your height, you will have to lean forward which results in bad posture. If the chair height is lower than your height, you will have to bend your knees which will result in back pain. Hence, the office chair must have a lever to adjust its height as per your comfort.

Lumbar Support
The office chair should have good lumbar support. Lumbar support prevents you from slumping forward as you work. Lumbar support maintains your spine in the correct posture throughout your working or study hours, thereby preventing lower back pain which is caused due to pressure on the lumbar discs.

Seat Dimensions
The seat should be wide enough to accommodate your body and must not be cramped. For tall people, the depth of the chair should be high while shallower depth is suitable for people of average or smaller heights. The back should rest comfortably against the backrest and there must be a gap of 2-3 inches between the back of the knees and the seat.

Material
The leather office chair has a luxurious appearance and is very easy to clean. The fabric office chair is a better option if you are more interested in breathability although it is susceptible to stains. A Mesh chair is a good option if you want to keep your back ventilated.
